As commercial manager of the FLEET specialist group, Stefanie provides insights into her management role and the practical side of her job, with its exciting processes and challenges.
Stefanie's path to leadership
Stefanie already developed a strong interest in vehicle management during her apprenticeship as an office communications clerk at a large car rental company. Her start at STRABAG BMTI in the area of investment and procurement of cars was the beginning of an impressive career characterized by her ambition and talent.
Becoming a team leader was the next logical step. "I have great confidence in STRABAG BMTI and really appreciate that my career development has been so well supported," says Stefanie. Parallel to her new role, she studied business administration and business psychology for three years. Here, she not only learned valuable leadership strategies, but also the importance of empathy and self-reflection in leadership. "This enabled me to expand my skills and abilities so that I could apply them fully in my day-to-day work and master even difficult situations," says Stefanie.
Commercial Management of the FLEET specialist group
At the beginning of 2024, Stefanie took over the commercial management of the newly created FLEET specialist group (FG) at STRABAG BMTI, the central service division within STRABAG SE, which focuses on the operational management of mobile assets including construction machinery, mechanical equipment and vehicles.
FG FLEET bundles responsibility for the central management and optimization of the vehicle fleet, which is now coordinated throughout Germany. This centralized management makes it possible to standardize quality standards and increase efficiency at the same time. Personal contact is also maintained.
"Some people say 'never change a running system' but I see it a little differently," explains Stefanie, describing her motivation to question established processes, find new, more efficient ways and actively drive improvements. She attaches great importance to keeping her finger on the pulse in a dynamic business world, for example in order to keep up with new developments in digitalization or e-mobility and actively shape progress.
Future prospects and challenges
Stefanie's current challenges include digitalization in the rental sector, where personal contact continues to play an important role. In addition, further projects will continue to optimize the digitalization and structures of FLEET. "Everything stands and falls with the team and everyone's motivation to actively help shape a future-oriented and efficient working environment," says Stefanie, demonstrating how important collaboration and team spirit are to her.
A manager with an innovative spirit: With her ability to motivate people and optimize processes, Stefanie embodies FG FLEET's motto "Future in motion" in an impressive way.
